Medical Camp(Atapur)
A lot of phone calls have been coming in since we returned from the medical camp in Gosaba. Many people in many places are still communicating. On behalf of Perth Da and his family contacted for work in one place and everything was fine. 27th june,202 we reached East Atapur village of Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas.
This time we were accompanied by three doctors namely Dr. Rituparna, Dr. Sagnik and Dr. Biyas. Many thanks to them. No appreciation is enough for the way they have come forward voluntarily. Many good wishes for them from Bhromor.
The camp is organised with a chair and a table by using a triple at the embankment of the river Raymangal. We hoped that about 200 patients would come. Many said that people did not come to the medical camp and it was raining. However, after starting the camp, it was like a gossip again. About 350 to 400 people came for medical checkup.We first sent the patient from one table to the next two vital check-ups with sanitizer and mask. Level, pulse, temperature, patient's name and age are sent to the doctor in another table. The medicine they prescribe to the patient, we see the patient from the next table, we explain to the patient when and how to take medicine.
Then we send the patients home with sanitary pads, bleaching, ORS, sanitizer bottles, Dettol bottles for the girls. There are also chocolates for the children.
The camp lasted for about 4.30 hours. After that we ate lunch made by the people of the village and after seeing some villages, it was our time to return.
When we came back after arranging everything, the people of the village did not allow any of us to carry anything. They picked up all the boats and all of them came together to leave us by the river. We are fascinated by so much sincerity, love. Such a great achievement will be remembered by us for the rest of our lives. It will inspire us to do more.
As much as we admire the way Partha Da and his whole family are working in the Sundarbans, they are less than admirable.
Our request is that more people who are working should work here, the people here are in a very bad condition.
Finally, we want to give another message. Let's work and clean the place. Save the environment. Reduce pollution.
